Masters Certificate in Adult Training and Development

  • The  Masters Certificate in Adult Training & Development program modules continue with the original materials and designs, and are led by the original facilitators who have made this program so well respected since 1994.

Participants must complete all five modules within a two-year period in order to be entitled to submit a practicum and be eligible to receive the masters certificate status. Upon the successful completion of all five modules, you will engage in a rigorous practicum, where you’ll apply everything you’ve learned in a real world situation that you select. The practicum report must be successfully completed within one year after attendance in all five modules.

    What You’ll Experience

    • A learner-centered approach to learning based on the values of well-researched principles of adult education taught at the graduate level.
    • Five 3-day classroom teaching modules, where you will learn and experience the essentials of adult learning theory and practice.
    • A low teacher-to-student ratio of only 20-22 participants in each module.
    • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the learner’s changing needs.
    • Respect for various learning styles and the need for adult learners to not be burdened with extra work between modules.
    • The choice of 1 of 3 rigorous practicum options, where you will apply everything you have learned in a real world situation of your selection, including an option through our partnership with the Institute for Performance and Learning (formerly the CSTD) professional designation.
