David S. Weiss

Biography

David S. Weiss received his doctorate from the University of Toronto and has three Master’s Degrees in psychology, education and philosophy. David is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and has been honoured with the “Distinguished Lecturer” certificate from the Government of Canada. He has delivered more than 250 conference presentations on five continents including in Canada, the USA, UK, Hungary, Israel, India, Russia, China, Malaysia, Uganda, South Africa and Chile. He has written 50 journal and trade articles and six business books, including Leadership-Driven HR (Jossey-Bass) and Innovative Intelligence (Wiley). David is President & CEO of Weiss International Ltd., an international consulting firm based in Toronto that focuses on innovation, leadership and HR consulting that generate insights and solutions for boards, executives and senior leaders throughout North America and Europe. In addition, David is on the advisory board of the Institute of Performance and Learning and a Certified Director (ICD.D) with the Institute of Corporate Directors, a Certified Health Service Provider in Canada (CHSPC). Previously, David was an affiliate professor at the Rotman School of Management, Senior Research Fellow at Queen’s University, director on the board of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Foundation, and chief innovation officer of a multinational consulting firm. David has been honoured by many organizations globally including by the Asia-Pacific HR Congress with the “HR Leadership Award,” by HR Israel with the “HR Distinction Award,” by the Institute for Performance and Learning as the first lifetime honorary “Fellow” in Canada, and by HRPA with the lifetime honorary designation of “Fellow CHRP.”
